Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how 1Chime (“1Chime”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our WhatsApp CRM and automation platform (the “Service”). It applies to our website, web application, and related services. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

We act as a “data controller” for the account and billing data we collect about you, and as a “data processor” for the customer data you import or generate in your workspace (for example, your leads and the WhatsApp messages you send and receive through the platform).

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed), and profile details you provide when you sign up or invite teammates.
  • Organization & workspace data — your company name, team members, roles and permissions, plan selection, and workspace configuration.
  • Leads and contacts you import — the names, phone numbers, email addresses, custom fields and notes you add, import via CSV, or capture through public lead-capture forms.
  • WhatsApp messages routed through the platform — the content, metadata and delivery status of messages you and your contacts exchange via your connected WhatsApp Business number, including media you send or receive.
  • Billing information — your plan, invoices, and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor (Razorpay); we do not store full card numbers.
  • Usage and analytics data — log data, device and browser information, IP address, feature usage, and diagnostic data we use to operate and improve the Service.
  • Cookies and similar technologies— used to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used (see “Cookies” below).

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, secure and maintain the Service.
  • Authenticate users and manage roles, permissions and access.
  • Route, deliver and display your WhatsApp conversations and CRM data.
  • Generate AI-assisted replies when you enable a bot for a conversation.
  • Process payments, manage your trial and subscription, and send billing notices.
  • Send transactional and service emails (for example, alerts and password resets).
  • Monitor, debug, and improve performance, reliability and features.
  • Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Third-party processors we use

To provide the Service we rely on a small set of trusted sub- processors. Each receives only the data needed to perform its function:

  • Meta Platforms / WhatsApp— to send and receive messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform and to manage message templates. Your use is also subject to Meta’s terms and policies.
  • Razorpay — to process payments, mandates and subscriptions. Razorpay handles your card and payment details directly under its own privacy policy.
  • Resend — to deliver transactional and notification emails on our behalf.
  • DeepSeek and other AI providers — to generate bot replies. When an AI bot is enabled for a conversation, the relevant message context is sent to the AI provider to produce a response.
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — to host the application, database and background workers.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you authenticated and to remember your session, and we may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in or using parts of the Service.

Data retention

We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete data or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with legal, accounting or security obligations or to resolve disputes.

Your rights & data export

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Within the app you can edit and export much of your workspace data (for example, your leads and contacts). To exercise any right not available in-product, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

International transfers

We are based in India and may process data on infrastructure located in India or other countries. Where data is transferred across borders, we take steps designed to ensure it remains protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
